The northern province of Ninh Binh has seen a sharp jump in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), an indicator of economic governance and business environment performance, over the past year.
2023 is the third consecutive year that Ninh Binh has implemented the District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI) in an attempt to improve the quality of administrative procedures and serving people and businesses and to increase the quality of economic governance of departments, sectors and People's Committees of districts and cities, thereby helping to improve the local business climate and the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting attended by ministries and sectors on July 28 to discuss short- and long-term measures for keeping inflation under control, stabilising the macro-economy, and promoting socio-economic recovery and development.
The northern province of Quang Ninh remains the most economically competitive province in Vietnam for the third consecutive year, followed by Dong Thap and Vinh Long in the Mekong Delta.
